ACTIVITIES
Pack Meetings
Our pack meetings are usually on one Friday per month from 7pm to 8:30pm at Prosper First United Methodist Church. Click the image above or use the Calendar heading at the top of the page for a complete schedule of events.
Camping
Our pack hosts family campouts in the fall and spring. For the 2024-25 school year we will also be hosting a Mock Camp in October to help new scouts and their families gain camping experience in a comfortable setting.
USS Lexington Overnighter
Join us for an overnight adventure on the USS Lexington, one of the most famous aircraft carriers of WWII! We'll get to explore the ship, fly in a flight simulator, watch a movie, and eat like a sailor. When the sun goes down and her blue lights come on we'll even get to spend the night aboard!

MISSION
Pack 289 is a co-ed cub scout pack. We operate according to the BSA-established Aims and Methods of Scouting. With over 35 years of scouting history behind us, Pack 289 is a well-trained member of the Scouting community. We are committed to making a difference in the Prosper, TX community. Scouts often participate in community service activities such as volunteering time and collecting food for the hungry.
A goal of Cub Scouts is to help youth develop into honorable adults. Scouting’s values can be incorporated into one’s home or school. Scouts have many opportunities to learn skills of leadership, of the outdoors, and of life.

LIONS
Lions are the first rank in Cub Scouts for youth in kindergarten, typically under 6 years old. Lion rank Cub Scouts are typically always accompanied by an adult.
TIGERS
Tigers are first-grade Cub Scouts ages 6-7. Focuses on building confidence, learning family values, and joining in on activities.
WOLVES
Wolves are second-grade Cub Scouts ages 7-8. Emphasizes outdoor skills, character, and teamwork.
BEARS
Bears are third-grade Cub Scouts ages 8-9. Focuses on hobbies, physical fitness, and learning about one’s community.
WEBELOS
Webelos are fourth and fifth-grade Cub Scouts ages 9-11. Emphasizes outdoor skills, leadership, and preparing to be a BSA Scout.
ARROW OF LIGHT
The Arrow of Light is the highest rank in Cub Scouts, for Webelos preparing to cross over to Scouts BSA.
