Blue & Gold Banquet

Every February, Pack 289 gathers for the Blue & Gold Banquet—a festive celebration of Scouting’s birthday and our pack’s most anticipated milestone event. It is a night of tradition and triumph, specifically honoring our Arrow of Light (AOL) scouts during their 'bridging' ceremony as they join a local Scouts BSA troop. To honor this journey, each scout is awarded a ceremonial arrow marked with lines that represent their unique Cub Scout achievements and memories here in Prosper.

Crossover & Achievement

Celebrate the heart of Scouting as our Pack 289 community gathers for the Blue & Gold Banquet. This annual celebration marks Scouting’s birthday and serves as a grand highlight for our scouts' journey. The evening’s emotional peak is the 'bridging' ceremony, where our Arrow of Light (AOL) scouts symbolically transition from the pack to join a local Scouts BSA troop. As a lasting symbol of their dedication, each AOL scout is awarded a ceremonial arrow, painstakingly marked with lines that represent every achievement and rank earned during their years as a Cub Scout .

The Big Celebration: What Parents Need to Know

Uniform & Dress Code

All Scouts should wear their full 'Class A' Field Uniform for this formal event. Parents and siblings are encouraged to wear festive casual or business casual attire to honor the pack's birthday celebration.

Potluck Dinner

We invite every family to participate by bringing a shared dish to our community feast. Please coordinate your contribution based on your scout's den assignment to ensure a balanced variety of main courses, sides, and desserts for everyone to enjoy.

Volunteer Opportunities
